Deep in the tundra plains and snow-covered forests of Canada, there lived a small boy in a remote town, nestled in the heart of this vast country. This boy was only five years old when his mother dies from pneumonia leaving the child in the care of his uncle, the father having left years before. For nine long years, the boy's uncle treated him very poorly. Despite the child's best attempts to avoid his relative's wrath, many nights still ended with injury being placed upon the boy. Since their town was more remote than most, their tiny log cabin only had electrical heat for a few hours a day, and so the two were forced to warm themselves by an ancient wood furnace the rest of the time. A favorite cruelty of the uncle was to send the boy out into the winter's cold to gather wood and logs for the furnace that night.
Even though it was freezing outside, and there was little to do, Mike enjoyed those times he was forced to collect wood-he considered it time spent with himself, rather than with his uncle. The boy hardly had any friends, as the local schoolhouse was an hour away, and with no public transport, Mike could only attend a couple of times a week. More and more often, he found himself travelling into the forest alone, sometimes to simply wander and pretend that he did not have to go home, sometimes to cry for a few hours before returning to his prison. One day, Mike came home with his usual load of logs, and with a groan saw the empty brown bottle on the table. His uncle snarled in fury as soon as he saw the boy:
"Hey! I thought you went out to gather WOOD!" Snatching a stick from the load, he broke it across the boy's back. "Not twigs!"
Mike started to sob as he felt the full fury of his uncle. The older man hit Mike again and again with the pieces of wood the boy had brought, the boy sobbing and pleading.
"Uncle, uncle, please-"
"Stop whining!" With a roar of anger, his tormentor pulled out a short, stout whipping stick. "I'll teach you a lesson, you little runt!"
With a jolt, Mike whirled and grabbed the stick, slamming it into his uncle's face-the impact threw the older man off balance, and he staggered against the wall. There was an awful silence, broken only by the dull thud of the stick hitting the ground.
"Why, you ungrateful-"
With a yelp of panic, Mike turned and ran.
With Tears running down his cheeks, the boy sprinted away-instinct told him that as soon as his uncle came round, the man would almost certainly give chase, and was sure to be close behind Mike. Thinking fast, he used one of the lesser known paths that lead to the high areas of the forest, and even tried to increase his speed as he charged through the forest at top speed. The boy ran for over an hour, before he was eventually forced to stop, exhausted and panting. Seeing a small valley outcrop, Mike gratefully hid there for a while. He had only meant to simply wait until he had recovered his breath, but the boy was lulled into sleep by the sound of the rushing water below…
The boy jolted awake to the nighttime noises of the forest-and more importantly, the distant yell of his name. Mike instantly knew that he had to continue-but he now felt very weak, and was already sobbing again, this time from fear and loneliness. He struggled gamely on, did his best to move forward-but only made it to the little lake below before he had to stop once again.
Leaning up against a nearby rock, the boy desperately tried to control his breathing; mostly failing due to the downpour of his tears. Hearing a rustle in the bushes behind him, Mike turned-and almost fell over. He had no clue how she had managed to get so close without him hearing her movements before, but a young girl emerged from the brush roughly fifteen feet away. She seemed to be unaware of his presence- she went to the edge of the lake, and started drinking, scooping the water up in her hands. Mike blushed a little bit-after all, the girl was totally unclothed, and seemed to have beauty in spades-to the boy, she shone like the silver moon in the sky above the lake. Watching her, he found that his tears even lessened a little. Rather hesitantly, Mike continued to observe the girl's movements-and gasped as, after the girl had finished drinking, she got down on all fours near the lake, and started shaking slightly.
What surprised him even more than this was what happened a few moments later-a long silvery tail started to appear just above her bare butt. Her skin started to grow a lush coat of gray, even as her bare breasts disappeared, face lengthened, and she transformed into a beautiful and huge silver wolf. As Mike looked on with pure astonishment, he could hear his uncle's voice getting louder-he was running out of the time. On the one hand, he was scared that the wolf would hurt him-but on the other, he couldn't see any other direction to go in that would happen to take him away from his uncle's voice. Mike ran as fast as he could, legs burning in protest, out of the brush and towards the deeper forest area.
The wolf swiftly turned to see the boy go running towards the forest-her enhanced hearing immediately picking out a furious voice in the cold air. She could smell the absolute fear on the boy-he was clearly exhausted and crying as well. Feeling sorry for the boy, hearing the anger in the air once again, she followed him quickly.
Only five minutes into the forest, and Mike had slowed to a stagger-as soon as he crashed into a clearing he broke into a run once again. He was just about to enter the forest, duck into the shadows of the tall trees once more, when the silver wolf jumped in front of the boy, frightening him to the point where he fell over trying to jump backwards.
Backing up against an oak tree, Mike stared up with fear, tears still running down his neck as the silver creature padded silently towards him.
P-please, d-don't hurt me! Um…please, I-I'm just trying to get away from my Uncle, I…Look, I'm sorry that I was looking at you!" Mike pleaded, crying even harder. But the wolf did not attack-she just looked at the boy gently, blushing under her fur as she realized that the boy had seen her as a human.
And then she spoke, in a very soothing female voice: "I'm not going to hurt you little one…Ah, please don't be afraid of me. I sense your fear, but you have nothing to fear from me."
"You…you're…You're not going to hurt me? T-then why did you scare me b-by jumping in front of me?" Mike asked, frightened and still in tears.
"I heard the angry voice on the air and knew that you were in trouble-I just wanted to help you."
"R-really…? You…you want to help me, and you're not going to kill me after all and…, T-thank you…," the boy managed to stutter out, getting off the ground and hugging the wolf, though his little arms wouldn't quite go around her chest. The wolf growled warmly and hugged back as best as she could-hearing that the voice was getting closer.
"Now…Little boy, do you trust me? The voice was a smooth, delicate purr, but Mike just nodded.
"U…um…Well, yes. I s-suppose…I don't really have a choice…"
The wolf hoped the boy would understand, as she pulled away from him, looked him in the eye, licking his face…
…Then opened her fleshy, pink maw wide, and clamped it down on Mike's head and around his shoulders.
"Whaaauuugh!" Taken off guard, the boy let loose with an absolute scream of terror, as he felt himself being lifted up in the air and engulfed by the wolf. He started crying struggling, trying to push away from the mouth-but the tongue simply wrapped around him, pulled him even further in. He'd clearly been tricked by the wolf, she just wanted to eat him- and then the boy realized that she wasn't biting him.
She was going to digest him, alive! The thought petrified him, and every muscle in his body went absolutely still. The wolf took advantage of this to speed up the process.
"W-why, why, WHY are you doing this?!?" Mike snarled, before being thrust onto the tongue and pushed further into her maw farther. "I-I thought we…we were…"
The wolf ignored him utterly, and chose to lick every part of him instead; around his neck, under his clothes, and of course around his legs. She started to swallow lightly, feeling the boy enter her deep red throat after a moment. Mike gasped in horror as he felt her beginning to swallow and felt his arms pulled into her wet gullet. He continued to cry as his waist and legs were slowly gulped down into the long, dark tunnel. She continued to lick his feet for a few minutes and then finished swallowing him, feeling him slide down her throat and land in her warm, soaking stomach.
Mike didn't even bother with pleading-he just leaned against the stomach, and started crying and sobbing feeling betrayed, friendless, and lonely from everyone in his life. It seemed to him that nothing had ever gone right, and now it was all over…
The wolf could hear the boy crying furiously in her stomach, and she felt very bad about scaring the boy- but she could also hear the angry voice coming over the hill. With a sight, she bolted swiftly into the night. Wolves have excellent endurance, and so she was able to run for hours at speeds no human could match easily, heading toward her cave.
On arrival at her den, she continued to move swiftly, trotting in and lying on her side, nuzzling her stomach and purring, eyes half closed in contentment. Mike could feel the rubs, but instead of comforting the boy as intended, they only made him feel worse. He let out a final howl of pure sadness, slowly succumbing to the increased humidity of the stomach and to his own fatigues…
Outside, the wolf did something that most wolves couldn't do-it actually started to cry, eventually managing to choke out a few words:
"I'm sorry, little boy…I-I only wanted to protect you. I'll let you out tomorrow, okay, I…I promise. But the child was already asleep, and did not reply. After a while of sobbing to herself, the wolf drifted off into her own solitude of sleep.
The wolf awoke early the next morning, massaging her belly as she hummed a soft tune.
"Little boy, a...are you okay? Please…please answer me…," she asked anxiously-this was the first time she had ever done something like this. There was no guarantee that the child was indeed all right.
Fortunately for her, Mike had awoken to her humming, and heard her ask if he was okay-likely mocking his imminent digestion. His mind filled with anger, and with a ferocious snarl he lashed out against the stomach.
"DON'T TALK TO ME! You…you vixen-YOU betrayed me!" His rage vanished as suddenly as it had come, and he fell back, crying again: "I-I trusted you! And…and you just ate me…DO you think this is funny or something!?
The female wolf rolled over in a show of anguish, crying even harder-not only had she likely done more harm than good, the boy had thought that this was a betrayal!
"Little boy, please, please forgive me!"
"And why should I, you-"
"No! I only ate you to protect you!" The wolf's next words simply came tumbling out: "You…you seemed tired, and very frightened, and you were running away from someone who was angry, and seeing you like that almost broke my heart, and I don't care if you hate me now…But at least you're safe…"
There was a long, tense silence-and then Mike simply burst into tears all over again-this time from guilt.
"I-I'm so sorry miss!! I-I didn't know! uh, I just…Well…I've been left alone and neglected for all my life. I-I thought you had betrayed me just to eat me." The boy sobbed heavily, hiccuping on his next sentence: "I-hic! I-I'm a horrible person…I don't know what's wrong with me-hic! Oh, forgive me miss. Please, just digest me now. Because-hic! I'm…I'm a no good human being…Hic!"
And now the wolf was in total agony-even though the child understood her, he felt so bad that he wanted to die. Sensing everything Mike was feeling without really meaning to, she found herself wailing:
"No, no, no! Please little one, don't cry…!"
"B-but I'm a h-horrible person!"
"Auugh, no! You're not a horrible person at all! Actually, I think you're a good boy, you were just scared and it was partly my fault…Um…I'll be your friend. I promise. Look, just please…Please don't cry. I will never ever hurt you."
Feeling a spark of hope, Mike stood on shaky legs, leaning against the stomach. "R-really? Y-You'll be my friend?"
"Of course, Mike. Just…don't cry. I want to help you."
"I've, I've never had a friend! Oh, thank you! I-hic! I didn't want to die, not really. I-I'm so sorry that I shouted at you…Hic! It…It's just that everything in my life…has hated me. So…um, do you have a name, miss wolf?
He sounded slightly happier, and the wolf relaxed a little. "Yes, I do…it's, um, Jane, little one. What is yours?"
"Oh, I'm Mike…'Jane'…what a pretty name."
"Aha, I think 'Mike' is a rather cute one. Well…I'm really sorry for eating you."
"You have an awesome taste, though…Can't promise I won't do it again…but I promise that I won't hurt you ever."
"Well, it's pretty warm in here…Oh, and it's much nicer now that I know that I won't be digested," responded Mike.
The wolf yawned stretching its' jaws. "Well, would you like to come out?"
"Yes, please. Oh-can I just say, Jane, that you are a beautiful wolf…and…" The boy felt his face redden at the memory of first seeing the wolf-girl, "…and a beautiful human as well. Err…Not that I actually meant to see you as a human. I didn't know you were going to naked or anything."
The wolf laughed. "Aha, its fine, I'm glad that I put on a good show and that you enjoyed looking. You can stay in my stomach whenever you want," said Jane. With an effort, the beast slowly began regurgitating Mike, pushing him out of her stomach, up her throat, and into her mouth. The boy was not dropped immediately, but instead licked firmly everywhere, before being lain, rather tenderly, on a warm blanket beside her. As the wolf helped Mike to dry off, the boy got up and hugged Jane hard, crying tears of joy as he met his first ever friend.
"T-thank you, Jane-I would be so cold and alone without you, and…" He trailed off as the big wolf just nuzzled him, and then leaned her furry head down to give him a long, wet kiss.
"Welcome Mike…Aha…come here. It's so cold, so would you like to snuggle against me for warmth?" Her face flushed in a loving manner. The wolf led the boy over to her nest of soft leaves and grass, then down on her side, beckoning Mike over. And Mike came, cuddling against her stomach and chest. Smiling down at him tenderly, she put her paw over her new friend and cooed at him affectionately.
"Um…one more thing?"
"Jane…Can I stay with you?"
For as long as you want, Mike." The wolf responded gently. "For as long as you want…"
Well there you have it. I hope that everyone who read it enjoyed it and that you liked it as well, Mike. Thanks to all my watchers and friends for their support as I continue to work on my requests and my stories.
